Currently the UX department is made up of interaction designers who combine design tasks with research tasks. However, the growth of Softonic and the launch of new products have given rise to the need to formally create a user research area and incorporate a professional who is capable of setting it in motion.


If you are a user researcher with concrete experience, have worked in usability laboratories, carried out many user tests, know how to create a guide, define the objectives of a test, do a screener, identify trends, have knowledge of statistics applied to usability, know how to cross qualitative data with Analytics data, are familiar with survey tools and remote testing tools and have a sufficient level of English to conduct interviews and reports in English, we would love to have you join our team. We have a laboratory set up that is waiting for you.


Objectives of the job



  • To defend and promote the UX vision in the company.

  • To provide our users with quality information.

  • To assess the usability and UX of the different products.

  • To manage and document the information.

  • To promote the area and use of the laboratory.


Responsibilities and activities of the job



  • Carry out a testing plan for the different Softonic products.

  • Research different tools to carry out user research.

  • Create, maintain and foster an updated user base.

  • Document the laboratory sessions on video.

  • Document the results of the different tests on the Wiki.

  • Create infographics and appealing reports.

  • Create periodical reports of UX metrics for the products.


What we expect from you



  • That you have sufficient experience to lay solid foundations that consolidate the area. You must have previous experience in the same position.

  • That you are familiar with different research methodologies.

  • That you have knowledge of statistics applied to usability in order to be able to give value to the information you obtain.

  • That you can contrast the information you obtain with Analytics data.

  • That you are able to create valid UX metrics for each Softonic project.

  • That you will help to create a UX dashboard for each product.

  • We want you to be able to carry out the tests both in English and in Spanish.

  • That you have sufficient charisma to inform the company about UX.

  • That you have the analytical capacity and intuition to find improvements.

  • That you have a business vision to be able to understand what is important and what is not.

  • Lastly, we hope to learn from you.

Requisitos mínimos:



  • Conocimientos avanzados de los principios de DCU, estándares y psicología de usuario.

  • Conocimiento de una amplia gama de técnicas de investigación cuantitativas y cualitativas incluyendo test remotos, think aloud, estudios etnográficos, benchmarking, evaluaciones heurísticas, encuestas, etc.

  • Conocimientos de estadística aplicada a la usabilidad.

  • Excelentes habilidades comunicativas para presentar los resultados obtenidos.

  • Capacidad para diseñar entregables de calidad e impacto.

  • Manejo de presupuestos orientado a obtener resultados accionables.

  • Orientación a negocio.

  • Alto nivel de inglés para realizar entrevistas a usuarios en inglés.

  • Duración: 6+6+indefinido

  • Jornada laboral: completa
